Hours and hours well spent
In perhaps the best decision of my life, I recently made up my mind to watch the first three seasons of “Desperate Housewives.”
I watched a few of the eps back in the day with my sis. Back then, they were so racy and edgy.
Then, when Lynsi and I lived in Lynnwood, I got hooked mid-series. I didn’t even watch TV then but I ended up watching ever since. Scartown and I used to curl up on the couch with beers and watch every Monday night when I got home from the newsroom.
But I’d never seen the beginning, so sometimes there’s subplots I don’t get.
I’m about seven episodes into the first season, and I looked at the Netflix queue. There were about 10 eps left, and they’re 43 minutes each. That’s a lot of hours left to go — for multiple seasons.
I thought about what else I could do with my life in that time. I could go for a jog. I could read a classic. I could crochet a blanket.
Did I have a better way to spend all those hours?
Nah.
Gimme Eva Longoria in tight terry cloth.
